Canoe Weights

We weigh each canoe we build and record it. To publish the weight of a model, we compute the average of all of those canoes we've built, and publish a figure a bit above that. Your Wenonah should weigh the stated figure, or perhaps a little less.

However, our published weights are for canoes with standard equipment only. Most options add weight. Wood trim is heavier than aluminum trim. Sliding seats and foot braces add weight. If you add a Gel-coat finish on a canoe that otherwise wouldn't have it, the canoe will be heavier.
