Tandem Racing / Jensen V1-Pro

In the world of professional canoe racing Gene Jensen's V1-Pro has dominated the pro-canoe race circuit throughout North America since its introduction. While there are a few other pro models on the market, North America's leading pro paddlers use the V1-Pro for its speed and ability to maintain and keep a "pop" in shallow water. Pro boats are usually fully or partially decked with fabric covers to keep water out of the hull. And we often build V1s with special options such as bow bailers for the demanding conditions of pro racing. Pro boats are not for everyone. They sacrifice initial stability for performance and speed. But, if you want to be competitive in the world of pro boat racing, you'll be paddling a V1-Pro.

Flex-core Color Options - We offer 12 colors of gel-coat finish for the exterior of Flex-core hulls. The interior of the hull shows the fabric's natural color.
Actual colors may vary due to display differences. May not be the Jensen V1-Pro . Shown with optional black aluminum trim.
Ultra-light Color Options - Ultra-light hulls have a "skincoat", showing the fabric's color on the interior and exterior. A colored finish is a no-cost option, but adds 5-8 lbs.

Ultra-light w/Kevlar® 33lbs. $3,449 USD

Ultra-light hulls are stiff and incredibly light. They are ideal for speed and distance paddling and for all people or conditions that demand the lightest gear. In our Ultra-light construction a structural-foam core and ribs are laminated into the hull and sides. We also add extra fabric layers to strengthen specific targeted areas. Aluminum plates are strategically laminated into the hull. Seats, footbraces, and all hardware is then riveted into these plates. This gives a very secure connection and eliminates rivet heads on the exterior. Kevlar®, the fiber used for aerospace, body armor and bulletproof vests, is amazingly light and strong. We've used it for more than 30 years to construct extremely light and tough canoes. Wenonah Canoe is the worlds largest maker of canoes using Kevlar®.

It's ideal for paddlers desiring more stiffness in their composite canoe. Graphite transfers energy better than any of our other materials, which makes these the most crisp paddling canoes. The aesthetic appeal of a black Graphite canoe is also undeniable.
