Manufacturer Certificate of Origin
Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin (MCO) are the marine equivalent to automobile titles. Similarly, the Hull Identification Number (HIN) is akin to a Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN). Legally the seller is required to transfer the MCO to the buyer at the time of sale. If the seller failed to transfer the MCO to you, contact the seller to fulfill their legal obligation. If you need a reissued MCO, the cost is $29.95. This fee includes researching the original sale from Wenonah to the initial purchaser, reissuing the MCO document and shipping/handling. Due to the nature of these archival requests, lead times may take up to 4 weeks during the busy paddlesports season.
