Hull Features

  1. Sharp, narrow bow minimizes water resistance for easy paddling.
  2. Wood butt blocks glassed in to add strength for frontal impacts.
  3. One piece solid mahogany deck plates routed to fit and lock into Sitka spruce gunwales.
  4. Laminated Sitka spruce and redwood gunwales for strength and lightness.
  5. Highest grade anodized aircraft aluminum tubing fastened with stainless steel bolts.
  6. 10 PVC core ribs on each side to lock in hull shape.
  7. Standard sliding bow and stern seats.
  8. Extreme tumblehome in gunwale line for ease of stern paddling.
  9. Widest point on the gunwale forward of center to streamline canoe.
  10. A very asymetrical hull to increase speed in shallow water performance.
  11. A nearly straight stern aids tracking and provides efficient streamlining.
  12. A truly shallow-arched hull to optimize forward speed.
