The "Double X", a fast and narrow United States Canoe Association (USCA) and American Canoe Association (ACA) downriver whitewater tandem racer.
Hull Features
Very narrow, but blunt bow increases speed and resists impact.
Flotation tanks standard and handles (short thwarts) standard.
High, straight sides for dry running and speed.
Sliding bow seat to trim the canoe.
Asymetrical hull design, widest point aft of center provides more speed.
Tumblehome behind center gives the stern paddler optimum water access.
A high quality, low maintenance racing canoe with stainless steel bolts, highest grade anodized and heat-treated aircraft aluminum seat mounts, thwarts and foot brace.
Foot brace and aluminum handle (short thwart) standard equipment in the stern, sliding seat optional.
Straight keel line with very slightly rockered ends for a combination of tracking and maneuverability.
Narrow, modified "V" hull bottom for speed.
